Starlight Academy

Starlight Academy was launched as a brainchild after spending many years on set and in casting sessions with kids of all ages. Our founder and artistic director, Gauri Prasad saw what the kids were up against in the arts and how training in the arts positively affected the child’s performance in the real world.

At Starlight Academy, we focus on training that prepares actors for the stage and life. Our curriculum includes voice training, movement, improv, and performance.

Step 1: Introduce the program to 2 grades via an activity flyer and permission form. Starlight Academy coaches with assigned teacher(s) around pre-built or adapted curriculum 1 hour per week for 4 weeks. A % goes back into school funding.

Step 2: Encourage signup to regular classes through a school-specific signup form for the 6-week workshop featuring a class presentation. A % of school enrollments go back to the school council.

Step 3: Rinse, recycle and repeat! Repeat step 1 monthly for a different grade each month and follow step 2 for all consecutive 6-week courses offered by Starlight Academy.
